To register your car for driving each year, the Roads and maritime services (RMS) formally known as ‘RTA’ requires that you have your vehicle checked for roadworthiness by an authorised inspection station. This check is called an e-Safety Check which was previously known as a ‘Pink slip’. Once your vehicle has passed, a copy of your inspection report is sent electronically to RMS so registration can then be completed online or in your local registry.
